Bob and Doug McKenzie in Great White North-White Light

In the video Great White North-White Light, Bob and Doug McKenzie are a group of imaginaryfunny Canadian actors who hosted “Great White North”, a skit which was included on SCTV for the show’s 3rd season when it was aired on the Canadian Broadcasting Channel in the 80’s. The character Bob McKenzie is played by actor Rick Moranis and the character Doug is performed by the comedian Dave Thomas. The sketch was born originally as a sketch to both please and laugh at dumb Canadian content legislation, the siblings transformed into a pop culture hit in both Canada and across the border. The characters soon became the focus of a bestselling comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
