In the video Greg Beharrell presents The X92.9 Singers – 12 Days Of Christmas, Bob and Doug McKenzie are a duo of imaginaryfunny Canadian comedians who are responsible for “Great White North”, a program which was televised on second city television for the show’s third season when it was broadcast on the Canadian Broadcasting Channel in the year 1980. The character Bob McKenzie is brought to life by the funny Rick Moranis and Doug’s part is played by comic Dave Thomas. The bit was created originally as filler to both follow guidelines and mock non sensical Canadian content rules, the siblings morphed into a pop culture smash hit in both Canada and America. The pair enetually would become the focus of a bestselling comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
