Bob and Doug McKenzie in GROW FOR ME- LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS- RICK MORANIS

In the video GROW FOR ME- LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS- RICK MORANIS, Bob and Doug McKenzie are a couple of strange Canadian siblings who can been seen in “Great White North”, a ad lib skit which was shown on SCTV – second city television for the show’s third season when it streamed by CBC Television in the 80’s. The character Bob McKenzie is created by hilarious comedian Rick Moranis and Doug McKenzie’s part is performed by actor Dave Thomas. The bit was created originally as a skit to both please and make fun of legal Canadian content laws, the brothers morphed into a pop culture hit in both Canada and the USA. The characters enetually would become the focus of a hit comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
