The character Bob McKenzie is acted by Rick Moranis and Doug’s character is created by the comedian Dave Thomas. Regardless the fact it was created originally as a skit to both follow guidelines and make fun of network Canadian content legislation, the brothers turned into a pop culture phenomenon in both Canada and the United States. The McKenzie siblings enetually would become the focus of a classic comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
