Bob and Doug McKenzie in Happy New Year (weirdest Christmas song ever)

In the video Happy New Year (weirdest Christmas song ever), Bob and Doug McKenzie are a pair of made up Canadian siblings who hosted “Great White North”, a show which was aired on SCTV – second city television for the show’s most popular season when it got sent to the Canadian Broadcasting Channel in the eighties. Bob is acted by comic Rick Moranis and Doug is brought to life by actor Dave Thomas. Which was made originally as a skit to both fulfill and laugh at stupid Canadian content rules, the pair turned into a pop culture hit in both Canada and America. The characters soon became the focus of a classic comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
