In the video Harveys Dave Thomas 1986, Bob and Doug McKenzie are a duo of fictional Canadian comedians who starred in “Great White North”, a ad lib skit which was televised on SCTV for the show’s most liked season when it got sent to the Canadian Broadcasting Channel in the year 1980. Bob McKenzie is brought to life by comedian Rick Moranis and Doug McKenzie’s part is performed by the comedian Dave Thomas. Regardless the fact it was developed originally as fluff to both satisfy and makes jokes about annoying Canadian content policies, the siblings transformed into a pop culture phenomenon in both Canada and the States. The McKenzie brothers became the focus of a hit comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
