Bob and Doug McKenzie in Have yourself a merry little Christmas

In the video Have yourself a merry little Christmas, Bob and Doug McKenzie are a duo of odd Canadian siblings who created “Great White North”, a show which was shown on SCTV for the show’s most watched season when it got sold to CBC Television in the eighties. Bob’s partThe character Bob is brought to life by the funny Rick Moranis and the character Doug is brought to life by Dave Thomas. The sketch was brought to life originally as an idea to both follow guidelines and mock legal Canadian content rules, the two morphed into a pop culture phenomenon in both Canada and across the border. The brothers soon became the focus of a huge comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
