Bob and Doug McKenzie in Headed South from the Great White North

In the video Headed South from the Great White North, Bob and Doug McKenzie are a duo of hysterical Canadian actors who were featured in “Great White North”, a segment which was featured on SCTV for the show’s most watched season when it aired by CBC Television in the eighties. Bob’s character is created by Rick Moranis and Doug McKenzie’s part is acted by actor Dave Thomas. The sketch was developed originally as an idea to both please and makes jokes about dumb Canadian content guidelines, the characters morphed into a pop culture hit in both Canada and the USA. The brothers went on to become the focus of a an amazing comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
