In the video Holiday Reaction – Bob and Doug The Great White North, Bob and Doug McKenzie are two of odd Canadian actors who were featured in “Great White North”, a program which was broadcast on SCTV for the show’s most popular season when it was aired on the Canadian Broadcasting Channel in the 1980s. Bob’s part is acted by comedian Rick Moranis and Doug is brought to life by comic Dave Thomas. The bit was developed originally as filler to both please and make fun of annoying Canadian content demands, the pair transformed into a pop culture phenomenon in both Canada and the United States. The two soon became the focus of a an amazing comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
