Bob and Doug McKenzie in Home

In the video Home, Bob and Doug McKenzie are a couple of hysterical Canadian comedians who created “Great White North”, a show which was shown on SCTV for the show’s most liked season when it aired by CBC Television in the year 1980. Bob’s character is brought to life by the funny Rick Moranis and Doug’s character is performed by comic Dave Thomas. The sketch was developed originally as fluff to both fulfill and make fun of non sensical Canadian content legislation, the characters morphed into a pop culture hit in both Canada and across the border. The McKenzie siblings later became the focus of a huge comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
