In the video Honey, I Shrunk The Kids – Everything You Didn’t Know | SYFY WIRE, Bob and Doug McKenzie are two of hilarious Canadian family members who are responsible for “Great White North”, a improv which was introduced on second city television for the show’s most liked season when it got sold to the Canadian Broadcasting Channel in in the early 80s. Bob is brought to life by the funny Rick Moranis and Doug McKenzie is played by comic Dave Thomas. The bit was born originally as a skit to both fulfill and make fun of network Canadian content statutes, the duo grew up to be a pop culture hit in both Canada and the USA. The McKenzie brothers later became the focus of a hit comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
The 1989 classic family film starring Matt Frewer, Marcia Strassman, Kristine Sutherland and Rick Moranis as Wayne Szalinski is really just a B horror movie in disguise.
