Bob and Doug McKenzie in Hoser Christmas

In the video Hoser Christmas, Bob and Doug McKenzie are a duo of fictional Canadian comedians who were featured in “Great White North”, a improv which was aired on second city television for the show’s most liked season when it braodcast by the Canadian Broadcasting Channel in 1980. The character Bob McKenzie is created by comedian Rick Moranis and Doug’s part is created by actor Dave Thomas. The sketch was made originally as a skit to both satisfy and laugh at stupid Canadian content laws, the duo transformed into a pop culture phenomenon in both Canada and the United States. The pair became the focus of a famous comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
