Bob and Doug McKenzie in How Dave Thomas gives advice

In the video How Dave Thomas gives advice, Bob and Doug McKenzie are a couple of odd Canadian comedians who created “Great White North”, a segment which was streamed on SCTV – second city television for the show’s most liked season when it got sold to the Canadian Broadcasting Channel in the eighties. The character Bob McKenzie is created by Rick Moranis and Doug’s part is played by comic Dave Thomas. Although brought to life originally as a skit to both follow guidelines and makes jokes about non sensical Canadian content statutes, the pair became a pop culture phenomenon in both Canada and the USA. The McKenzie siblings soon became the focus of a famous comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
