  1. This is so sad. I've had 14 concussions from football n MMA. Everyone around me has been telling me the last couple years that I've been seeming strange at times. Forgetting things, my moods started changing, along with other stuff. I got diagnosed with depression about 7 years ago n since then it's been getting worse. This is such a huge eye opener.

  2. My heart goes out to this young man and his family I remember when this happened the game and it really what's worse than people realized, I don't think people understand how dangerous the concussion taking that kind of impact when your head has nothing to absorb it in that fashion,
    Rest in peace Jevan..

  3. My life and football journey was altered by a head down blindside, broke my sternum with no time on the clock while down multiple scores. I shouldn't have been playing in the first place, I missed the first game of my life the week before with a viral infection that ravaged my body. Compensated my lack of replenishment/preparation with 2 vicodin, which at least allowed me to walk off the field unassisted and give a proper staredown to the recently awoken failed hero who just speared his way into the funny coaches new loop real.

Was starting to regret wasting the time writing this long comment about my life that I doubt anyone will read, until I realized this may be the first time I feel zero resentment for dude because; I love my story. I do hope (I'm guessing I always did) he recovered well with no residuals, I still had 50+ lbs and 10" minimum on him, chasing after the last of "too many to count" interceptions. Not sure if it was his neck or his head, I was masking too much pain to pay attention, was just going through the motions to continue my mislead quest of being the baddest. From the sound he made, his trainers' urgency, and if his helmet was half as bad as mine;, I'm sure he lost some time there but still remembers the comic relief he provided both teams during film review.

For some self deprivation and timeline; "lezbehonest," as a former LT, love me a good screen setup 😉

  4. I had never heard Jevan's story before. Absolutely tragic. I'm hopeful that through equipment improvements and rule changes, this type of tragedy can be eliminated without ruining the game.

  5. That hit was so unnecessary i hope that man feels horrible for what he did. These guys see a qb trying to make a play they try to take their heads off instead of playing like they normally do. Im not saying they cant hit them but to go out of your way and put extra force juat because they are a qb is just grimey and scumbag sh**

  6. I was a OT and 3 technique DT I played lower division high school football and the refereeing was atrocious. (2018) One game i was blindsided 5 or 6 times away from the LOS so not even a pull block. I'm getting cheap shotted when the reciever caught the ball 40 yards down field and the other team never got any penalties on them. I don't know if those games were rigged or what but those referees were not looking out for any of the players. On the bus ride home i was having an anxiety attack. Surprisingly i was fine to play the next week without any issues. I took pride in not cheap shooting players and playing between the whistles. It just shouldn't be apart of the game.

  7. Tyler Hilinski, former Washington State quarterback also was the victim of a vicious hit that resulted in a severe concussion. He committed after his junior year. Autopsy confirmed stage one CTE.

  8. It would have been helpful to include what the study of his brain determined. I mean yea probably CTE but how severe or at least yes it was confirmed he had CTE. Now I’m off to find data on his studied dome.
