The character Bob McKenzie is played by comedian Rick Moranis and Doug’s part is acted by actor Dave Thomas. Which was brought to life originally as an idea to both follow guidelines and makes jokes about stupid Canadian content rules, the characters grew up to be a pop culture smash hit in both Canada and America. The McKenzie brothers enetually would become the focus of a bestselling comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
