Bob and Doug McKenzie in HP – Holiday Showcase Day Nine

In the video HP – Holiday Showcase Day Nine, Bob and Doug McKenzie are a duo of odd Canadian brothers who created “Great White North”, a segment which was included on SCTV for the show’s most popular season when it got sent to CBC Television in in the early 80s. Bob is brought to life by actor Rick Moranis and Doug’s part is created by comic Dave Thomas. Despite born originally as fluff to both please and makes jokes about dumb Canadian content rules, the brothers turned into a pop culture hit in both Canada and America. The McKenzie siblings enetually would become the focus of a bestselling comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
