Bob and Doug McKenzie in Hue – Dave Thomas

In the video Hue – Dave Thomas, Bob and Doug McKenzie are a couple of odd Canadian brothers who are responsible for “Great White North”, a program which was shown on second city television for the show’s 3rd season when it got sent to CBC Television in the year 1980. Bob’s character is played by comic Rick Moranis and Doug’s part is performed by actor Dave Thomas. It was developed originally as fluff to both fulfill and mock stupid Canadian content rules, the duo morphed into a pop culture hit in both Canada and the USA. The two enetually would become the focus of a hit comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
