And finish with the beer gasm.
I pretty much have done a lot of those things as a Canadian I am Canadian!
Love the commercials for molson but I don't drink beer so I can't answer how it tastes but the commercials are awesome ❤
Molson Canadian has been around a long time and it is a very basic bottled lager. This series of commercials was iconic and it did a lot for national unity. The commercials are well remembered.
The cultural part you missed in the third clip of the office fight, is that pulling the jacket over the guys head is straight out of a hockey fight.
The Commercial featuring the obnoxious yank where the Canadian starts a fight – he does so by pulling the suit over his head.. which is a hockey fight style.
I remember all of these commercials. They were all very well done.
I love Alexander Keith's from Nova Scotia.
Did you say "I want to be a Canadian?" Well, come ahead–there've been many of your breed here–many of my ancestors came from Scotland (some came via Ireland.)
That is a hockey style fighting. lmao
Please watch Classified O Canada.
This brand has been destroyed by Anheuser Busch, who bought it
Fun Fact, Canadian beer is called "Laurentide" in Quebec.
Being Quebecois, Ive never seen those ads, I can appreciate it just like you.
@Mert Can – you might have seen this already, but William Shatner did his own version of Joe's "I Am Canadian" rant: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eKLkmTz-kJw&t=4s This was a the Just For Laughs comedy festival in Montreal, in about 2005(?). To me, it's hilarious! A couple of notes about it: he mentions that he drinks Labatt's, which is another big beer brand here in Canada, and he mentions a theatre in "the NDG", which is the Notre-Dame-de-Grace area of Montreal.
You have to check out the parody, I am not Canadian by 102.1 The Edge Toronto.
The sense of pride I felt seeing the "I am Joe, and I am Canadian" commercial was significant. I still love this commercial
The difference between Americans and Canadians is the placement of the "eh". Canadians say "How's it going, Eh?" Americans say "Eh, how's it going?"
IMO Molson Canadian is shite beer. I'm Canadian and I call it Molson American
Make a reaction to the "I am Canadian anthem".. unless you already have… In which case "sorry". I am Canadian
13:48 You can be a Canadian. There's a whole province for you, Nova Scotia (New Scotland). Many Canadians are of Scottish ancestry (Mike Myers is a good example)
9:26 Meaning to chat up another man's bird.
8:58 It's a variation of the type of lids you put on disposable coffee cups so it doesn't spill when you carry and drink it.
Alpine, Moosehead (affectionately referred to as moose piss) Alexander Keith's Molson, Labatt
I'm going scooner any day. Lots of Canadian beer sadly many great nova Scotland beers are not available in most of Canada.
Molson Canadian!! It has been referred to as “Crack” beer because it tastes so amazing. Yes = it’s as Canadian as Tim Hortons. ❤. (Sending you Canadian Love from Calgary!)
I’ve used a credit card to scrape my windows and yes, the seat thing is a biggie.
I loved these commercials. These commercials were mainly aired during televised sporting events, mainly hockey, which is why there are so many references to Hockey in them. The thing you might not know is the one where the Canadian pulls the suit jacket over the Americans head to start the fight is a reference to hockey where players would pull the hockey sweater over their opponents head to start a fight and give them an advantage. It got so bad the NHL introduced a requirement to have the back of the jersey to have a tie down to the hockey pants to prevent the pullover. Its a penalty if you are caught with the tie down not done up.
Geneva convention? It's more like Geneva suggestions
