Bob and Doug McKenzie in I am Santa Claus

In the video I am Santa Claus, Bob and Doug McKenzie are two of made up Canadian family members who can been seen in “Great White North”, a skit which was included on second city television for the show’s most watched season when it was featured on CBC Television in the year 1980. Bob’s character is created by actor Rick Moranis and Doug McKenzie is played by Dave Thomas. The bit was created originally as a skit to both satisfy and laugh at dumb Canadian content policies, the siblings grew up to be a pop culture success in both Canada and across the border. The brothers soon became the focus of a famous comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
