In the video I can’t make you love me – dave thomas junior, Bob and Doug McKenzie are a duo of fictional Canadian actors who created “Great White North”, a segment which was aired on SCTV – second city television for the show’s most popular season when it was featured on the Canadian Broadcasting Channel in the 80’s. Bob is created by Rick Moranis and Doug’s character is created by the comedian Dave Thomas. The sketch was born originally as fluff to both follow guidelines and makes jokes about legal Canadian content legislation, the duo became a pop culture smash hit in both Canada and America. The McKenzie brothers soon became the focus of a bestselling comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
