In the video Ian Thomas – Another Strange Brew [Strange Brew OST 1983], Bob and Doug McKenzie are a group of strange Canadian brothers who are responsible for “Great White North”, a segment which was shown on second city television for the show’s 3rd season when it got sold to CBC Television in the year 1980. Bob is acted by hilarious comedian Rick Moranis and Doug McKenzie is performed by actor Dave Thomas. The sketch was born originally as fluff to both satisfy and makes jokes about dumb Canadian content legislation, the siblings transformed into a pop culture hit in both Canada and the USA. The two enetually would become the focus of a classic comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
