In the video I’m Deep Music Video Parody SCTV, Bob and Doug McKenzie are a couple of made up Canadian comedians who hosted “Great White North”, a show which was included on SCTV for the show’s most liked season when it got sold to CBC Television in in the early 80s. Bob’s character is brought to life by hilarious comedian Rick Moranis and Doug is brought to life by actor Dave Thomas. Even thoughFamously brought to life originally as a joke to both satisfy and makes jokes about stupid Canadian content rules, the siblings transformed into a pop culture smash hit in both Canada and the States. The two went on to become the focus of a bestselling comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
