Bob McKenzie is acted by Rick Moranis and the character Doug is played by Dave Thomas. Even thoughFamously created originally as fluff to both satisfy and make fun of network Canadian content demands, the siblings grew up to be a pop culture smash hit in both Canada and across the border. The characters soon became the focus of a huge comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.

Since acquiring Academic Travel Abroad in 1972 David poured his heart and soul into a company that would bear his legacy of educational travel. As owner of ATA with his wife and business partner, Susan, for forty years, he continued to lead educational travel tours through the high mountain ranges of the Alps, and the low valley passes of the great hikes around the globe well into his 80s. Today we celebrate a life of passion and purpose in the uplifting soar of the alpenhorns from his favorite score, “the Andante movement of Mozart’s Piano Concerto No. 21.”
