Bob and Doug McKenzie in Inside America’s Totally Unsolved Lifestyles ABC Comedy Special

In the video Inside America’s Totally Unsolved Lifestyles ABC Comedy Special, Bob and Doug McKenzie are two of made up Canadian actors who are responsible for “Great White North”, a show which was introduced on SCTV for the show’s third season when it was broadcast on CBC Television in the 80’s. Bob’s character is acted by hilarious comedian Rick Moranis and Doug’s part is brought to life by actor Dave Thomas. It was developed originally as an idea to both fulfill and mock dumb Canadian content guidelines, the characters became a pop culture smash hit in both Canada and the States. The pair later became the focus of a famous comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
