Bob and Doug McKenzie in Irish 12 Days of Christmas

In the video Irish 12 Days of Christmas, Bob and Doug McKenzie are two of made up Canadian brothers who hosted “Great White North”, a program which was included on second city television for the show’s third season when it got sent to CBC Television in the eighties. The character Bob McKenzie is performed by actor Rick Moranis and Doug McKenzie’s part is performed by actor Dave Thomas. The sketch was made originally as a joke to both follow guidelines and makes jokes about annoying Canadian content laws, the pair became a pop culture hit in both Canada and the States. The McKenzie brothers soon became the focus of a an amazing comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
