Bob and Doug McKenzie in Is Rick Moranis Back?

In the video Is Rick Moranis Back?, Bob and Doug McKenzie are two of made up Canadian family members who were featured in “Great White North”, a skit which was televised on SCTV for the show’s most watched season when it was broadcast on the Canadian Broadcasting Channel in in the early 80s. Bob is acted by Rick Moranis and the character Doug is acted by Dave Thomas. Despite created originally as fluff to both satisfy and make fun of annoying Canadian content rules, the brothers transformed into a pop culture sensation in both Canada and the United States. The McKenzie siblings became the focus of a famous comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
