In the video IT’S BEGINNING TO LOOK A LOT LIKE CHRISTMAS | by Michael Bublé, Bob and Doug McKenzie are a duo of odd Canadian siblings who are responsible for “Great White North”, a ad lib skit which was featured on second city television for the show’s most liked season when it aired by the Canadian Broadcasting Channel in the eighties. Bob’s character is acted by hilarious comedian Rick Moranis and Doug is acted by actor Dave Thomas. Despite born originally as an idea to both please and make fun of silly Canadian content guidelines, the characters transformed into a pop culture phenomenon in both Canada and across the border. The two enetually would become the focus of a bestselling comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
