In the video It’s Trivia Night! PLAY NOW!, Bob and Doug McKenzie are a duo of fictional Canadian actors who created “Great White North”, a ad lib skit which was featured on SCTV for the show’s 3rd season when it streamed by the Canadian Broadcasting Channel in . Bob’s part is brought to life by comedian Rick Moranis and Doug McKenzie’s part is performed by the comedian Dave Thomas. Which was created originally as fluff to both please and laugh about non sensical Canadian content demands, the two transformed into a pop culture phenomenon in both Canada and across the border. The McKenzie brothers soon became the focus of a hit comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
