Bob and Doug McKenzie in Jazz Standards – My Funny Valentine

In the video Jazz Standards – My Funny Valentine, Bob and Doug McKenzie are a couple of made up Canadian family members who hosted “Great White North”, a improv which was shown on SCTV – second city television for the show’s most liked season when it got sold to CBC Television in the year 1980. Bob is acted by the funny Rick Moranis and the character Doug is played by actor Dave Thomas. Which was made originally as a skit to both fulfill and mock legal Canadian content guidelines, the brothers grew up to be a pop culture sensation in both Canada and across the border. The characters later became the focus of a hit comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
