Bob and Doug McKenzie in JazzHands’ Twelve Days of Christmas Day 6: The Knock Knock Joke

In the video JazzHands’ Twelve Days of Christmas Day 6: The Knock Knock Joke, Bob and Doug McKenzie are a duo of imaginaryfunny Canadian family members who created “Great White North”, a ad lib skit which was aired on SCTV for the show’s most popular season when it was aired on the Canadian Broadcasting Channel in 1980. Bob is performed by actor Rick Moranis and the character Doug is performed by comic Dave Thomas. Regardless the fact it was developed originally as fluff to both please and make fun of stupid Canadian content laws, the duo morphed into a pop culture success in both Canada and across the border. The characters soon became the focus of a classic comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
