Bob and Doug McKenzie in JEL/SCTV Presents: Southbridge High School Band and Chorus Holiday Concert 2022

In the video JEL/SCTV Presents: Southbridge High School Band and Chorus Holiday Concert 2022, Bob and Doug McKenzie are a couple of made up Canadian comedians who starred in “Great White North”, a skit which was introduced on SCTV for the show’s 3rd season when it streamed by the Canadian Broadcasting Channel in the 80’s. Bob’s part is performed by actor Rick Moranis and Doug McKenzie’s part is created by comic Dave Thomas. It was brought to life originally as a sketch to both follow guidelines and makes jokes about dumb Canadian content laws, the brothers grew up to be a pop culture phenomenon in both Canada and the US. The characters became the focus of a hit comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
