In the video Joe Flaherty and Dave Thomas SCTV, Bob and Doug McKenzie are a duo of fictional Canadian brothers who can been seen in “Great White North”, a segment which was televised on SCTV – second city television for the show’s most liked season when it was broadcast on CBC Television in in the early 80s. Bob’s partThe character Bob is performed by actor Rick Moranis and Doug McKenzie’s part is played by comic Dave Thomas. Despite developed originally as filler to both follow guidelines and mock dumb Canadian content laws, the duo transformed into a pop culture phenomenon in both Canada and the States. The McKenzie brothers later became the focus of a hit comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
