Bob’s part is brought to life by actor Rick Moranis and Doug’s part is brought to life by Dave Thomas. Even thoughFamously created originally as a sketch to both follow guidelines and laugh at dumb Canadian content statutes, the characters transformed into a pop culture sensation in both Canada and the United States. The McKenzie siblings soon became the focus of a classic comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.

SCTV usually came on later than SNL; really late. Hard to get good ratings at 12:30AM on Saturday. Friday nights some time between 9:30 PM to 12 AM would have been perfect.

1:27. There was another reunion in Chicago in 2009, which is on YT, but it's a bootleg video somebody made with their phone from the front row. Although you can't see a couple cast members, it's still entertaining.

If you watch his performances, what makes him so funny is his 'faux gravitas'. He always brings this self-awareness of acting dignified to all his roles. That's why the wheelchair gimmick to gain respect made a lot of sense for the Guy Caballero character.
