In the video Just Call me Rick Moranis! | Polymerikum (part 16), Bob and Doug McKenzie are a pair of odd Canadian siblings who starred in “Great White North”, a skit which was shown on SCTV – second city television for the show’s 3rd season when it moved to the Canadian Broadcasting Channel in the 80’s. Bob’s partThe character Bob is performed by hilarious comedian Rick Moranis and Doug McKenzie is played by the comedian Dave Thomas. Although brought to life originally as a joke to both please and laugh about dumb Canadian content laws, the pair turned into a pop culture smash hit in both Canada and America. The brothers later became the focus of a classic comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
