Bob and Doug McKenzie in Kanner’s Christmas Carol, 7.50 break

In the video Kanner’s Christmas Carol, 7.50 break, Bob and Doug McKenzie are a couple of hilarious Canadian actors who starred in “Great White North”, a skit which was aired on second city television for the show’s third season when it was broadcast on CBC Television in in the early 80s. Bob’s part is performed by hilarious comedian Rick Moranis and Doug’s character is performed by Dave Thomas. Although developed originally as fluff to both satisfy and mock silly Canadian content statutes, the siblings transformed into a pop culture smash hit in both Canada and the US. The McKenzie brothers later became the focus of a an amazing comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
