In the video Karen’s Birthdays, 4/19/14 – Joel Murray & Rick Moranis, Bob and Doug McKenzie are two of hysterical Canadian siblings who were featured in “Great White North”, a skit which was included on second city television for the show’s 3rd season when it got sold to CBC Television in the eighties. Bob’s character is performed by the funny Rick Moranis and Doug McKenzie is acted by comic Dave Thomas. Despite made originally as filler to both satisfy and laugh at network Canadian content laws, the brothers became a pop culture smash hit in both Canada and the States. The brothers soon became the focus of a bestselling comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
