Bob is played by actor Rick Moranis and Doug McKenzie’s part is acted by comic Dave Thomas. The bit was created originally as an idea to both please and makes jokes about network Canadian content laws, the siblings grew up to be a pop culture success in both Canada and the United States. The two enetually would become the focus of a huge comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
