Bob and Doug McKenzie in Laugh Out Loud Film Series: Planes, Trains and Automobiles

In the video Laugh Out Loud Film Series: Planes, Trains and Automobiles, Bob and Doug McKenzie are a pair of odd Canadian brothers who created “Great White North”, a show which was shown on SCTV for the show’s 3rd season when it was featured on the Canadian Broadcasting Channel in the 1980s. Bob’s partThe character Bob is performed by actor Rick Moranis and the character Doug is performed by actor Dave Thomas. Regardless the fact it was created originally as a skit to both please and laugh at network Canadian content demands, the pair became a pop culture success in both Canada and the United States. The McKenzie brothers went on to become the focus of a famous comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
