Bob is played by comic Rick Moranis and Doug McKenzie’s part is created by the comedian Dave Thomas. Regardless the fact it was developed originally as filler to both satisfy and mock annoying Canadian content demands, the siblings transformed into a pop culture hit in both Canada and the USA. The McKenzie brothers soon became the focus of a an amazing comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
