Transcript:
hey guys I’m going to do a review on a
um a really great movie um good for kids
good for everyone good for adults it is
little giants this is a movie
that has been hated on
hit and miss with people and um what
actually got it was um long ago long
time ago
uh two years prior from
1994
um spelberg
liked the idea of this commercial he
watched this commercial with his kids it
was a McDonald’s commercial and it was
these wimpy kids and they were
um uh they actually
they kind of redid this in a way they
pick up all these like NFL great NFL
uh um line backs and fullbacks and
quarterbacks uh and um from um all these
great teams like
49ers and uh
Steelers and
um
it he loved the he loved the commercial
he called I think he called the
McDonald’s Empire and they actually
liked the idea of him doing it and um
they did it was Little Giants and
um uh it starred Rick Moranis Ed
O’Neal um and someone that I’m going to
be doing um my own playlist big fan of
him Devin
Sawa this the plot is and I know every
everybody uh has done this in their
lives in their lives everyone feels like
this the wimpier brother the
brother the brother and brother
relationship it starts where it’s a kid
and his um older brother the kid at
least like
um mostly the younger brother is more of
that
Outcast and he always put himself on the
injured list and uh his older brother
was more the popular one and he was more
athletic but throughout this
movie the relationship between these
brothers it’s phenomenal it really is
phenomenal you could tell they they are
brothers and they do love each other but
they’re going through these things it’s
we have one one half of Merick mandez’s
character trying to raise his daughter
Becky or ice
box um after this tough divorce and we
do have Ed O’Neal and his family
um which um his wife played the late and
great was was played by the late and
great uh Mary Ellen trainer which was um
Roberts mec’s ex-wife uh who’s not no
longer with us and she was entail some
the Crypt and The Goonies and all that
stuff and
um we have it
where um it’s all these just these
neighborhood kids are not picked because
they’re they can’t run good they’re
wimpy one’s a little
girly and and so forth and so mckarus
kind of feels bad and it’s ice box is
the one that actually wants to play
football because it’s well she’s my
uncle it’s like well she’s like well
he’s my uncle of course she’s going to
pick me it’s
actually I could understand the Ed
O’Neal’s character point of view
um I kind of do Kevin OA I kind of
understand him but he gets to be a
little
dickish but for good reasons cuz I kind
of
I he seems like a very
um understandable like very cool
character and there’s there are scenes
with um with uh him and uh Becky and
they’re really genuine scenes like she
says am I am do you think I’m pretty and
he goes no I think you’re
beautiful and it’s just
it’s this guy’s trying to work on his
team this guy’s done it for as long as
he can remember but his little brother
because he’s he’s his little brother he
thinks R mir’s character thinks he’s
going to do it with him but there’s so
many people like I understand it with my
with wherever I come from I don’t want
to say but I understand Rick Rick
Moran’s character but as he gets older
you can understand the Ed O’Neal
character as well
um and it’s it’s
all uh genuine with these people
um then we have Junior Floyd we go to
Junior Floyd already quarterback Becky
develops crush and um she doesn’t know
if she’s going to choose cheerleading or
football and we we also have these kids
one by one which is phenomenal cuz most
most movies don’t do that anymore where
um we had this one kid who’s a cowboy
acts like he’s a cowboy kind of reminds
you of the mik TV character but not that
annoying um there this Asian kid who uh
can’t stop like just
uh kicking the ball
wrong we have um one of my favorite
characters which is this uh kid Johnny
with um who has I swear to God is
related to Freddy from from uh
he Carly but what always got me got to
me even as a kid his father’s leaving
him and this kid supposed to be 10 or 11
years
old how in the
hell is he supposed to this is like home
alone all over again but like
with it’s just it’s weird because it’s
like how does this
kid it’s weird I don’t know how probably
he has his a mom that’s not mentioned or
a brother that’s not mentioned I don’t
know and we have this other kid named
rad Tad who’s more of the fruity one of
the
bunch who’s like just is like scared of
everything we have this kid named ztech
which is possibly the uh he’s
possibly the like Goldberg of the
team um and we have just all these wacky
wack wacky and cool kids and they’re
really cool um you feel bad for them
when you feel bad for them um we and we
also have this other kid this um this uh
they call them hot hands and um it’s
funny how like he wants to be Michael
Irving’s number 88 what’s funny is who
plays Michael
Irving his dad is played by Michael
Irving which is really funny I’ve I’ve
um the professional football player from
the uh Cowboys that’s really
funny but um this has always been a
favorite of mine I don’t care what
people talk about it’s great directed by
uh um Dwayne Dunham who’s done
halloweent Town great movie check it out
