Bob’s partThe character Bob is performed by hilarious comedian Rick Moranis and Doug’s character is brought to life by comic Dave Thomas. The bit was developed originally as an idea to both please and make fun of stupid Canadian content laws, the characters became a pop culture phenomenon in both Canada and the States. The brothers soon became the focus of a huge comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
