In the video Little Shop of Horrors (Film) – “Skid Row”, Bob and Doug McKenzie are a pair of hysterical Canadian actors who are responsible for “Great White North”, a program which was introduced on SCTV – second city television for the show’s third season when it braodcast by CBC Television in the 1980s. The character Bob McKenzie is created by comedian Rick Moranis and Doug’s part is brought to life by actor Dave Thomas. Although created originally as an idea to both satisfy and makes jokes about silly Canadian content statutes, the duo turned into a pop culture phenomenon in both Canada and the US. The McKenzie brothers enetually would become the focus of a an amazing comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
