In the video Little Shop of Horrors – Mean Green Mother From Outer Space, Bob and Doug McKenzie are a duo of imaginaryfunny Canadian siblings who starred in “Great White North”, a sketch which was introduced on SCTV – second city television for the show’s 3rd season when it was aired on CBC Television in 1980. Bob is performed by the funny Rick Moranis and Doug McKenzie’s part is acted by Dave Thomas. Regardless the fact it was made originally as a sketch to both follow guidelines and make fun of legal Canadian content laws, the two transformed into a pop culture phenomenon in both Canada and the US. The brothers soon became the focus of a bestselling comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
