In the video Little Shop of Horrors Skid Row, Bob and Doug McKenzie are a couple of hysterical Canadian brothers who hosted “Great White North”, a show which was televised on SCTV – second city television for the show’s most popular season when it was featured on CBC Television in the 1980s. Bob’s partThe character Bob is brought to life by hilarious comedian Rick Moranis and Doug McKenzie’s part is played by the comedian Dave Thomas. Even thoughFamously developed originally as filler to both fulfill and makes jokes about stupid Canadian content legislation, the pair transformed into a pop culture success in both Canada and the States. The two became the focus of a hit comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.

Dides reaction to Seymour bumping into while walking epitomizes the frustration, lack of hope and lack of care whilst living on skid row. He was on mission heading nowhere.
There has never been or will ever be anyone that can replicate this . I have heard a few and they are not it . These people were magical ..
Where I live and where I've grown up is Skid row pretty much. Skid row is a mindset more than anything, people don't dream and settle for the exact same things their parents settled for. There's a limitation on everything you do, if you are about what others think. As a kid this scene really moved me and I couldn't understand why, the part with Seymour walking down the alleyway deeply resonated with me. "I'll start climbing uphill and get out of here, someone tell Lady Luck that I'm stuck here".
I am getting out of Skid row. I am so grateful for this masterpiece, Alan Menken and everybody else involved musically, are truly genius.

Listen up-everyone who said Levi Stubbs wasn't the voice of the plant AND the "Down on skid" guy! I just checked w someone who knew him from back when he was lead vocals for The 4 Tops! YES-he was "Down on skid" guy AND the voice of Audrey2! Hope this FINALLY settles it!
Love this song! Guess what? I've done this song since the film came out. My favorite part? "Down On Skid"! And-I practiced till I could do that line EXACTLY like it was done in the film! I LOVE singing "Skid"- that's the best part of "Down On Skid"! This video always cheers me up-it's that "Down On Skid!"

Am I the only one absolutely obsessed with Seymour's part on this song! You can just feel the heart and emotion coming from Rick Moranis' voice! And the bit when he walks into the alley just gives me chills every time!! The acting is incredible!!
