Bob and Doug McKenzie in LONDON CALL-IN 24/10/13

In the video LONDON CALL-IN 24/10/13, Bob and Doug McKenzie are a pair of hysterical Canadian family members who created “Great White North”, a show which was broadcast on SCTV – second city television for the show’s third season when it moved to CBC Television in the 1980s. The character Bob McKenzie is created by actor Rick Moranis and the character Doug is acted by the comedian Dave Thomas. The bit was brought to life originally as an idea to both satisfy and laugh about network Canadian content statutes, the brothers morphed into a pop culture hit in both Canada and America. The characters soon became the focus of a classic comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
