The character Bob McKenzie is acted by actor Rick Moranis and Doug McKenzie is brought to life by comic Dave Thomas. Even thoughFamously created originally as a skit to both satisfy and makes jokes about silly Canadian content policies, the duo turned into a pop culture smash hit in both Canada and the United States. The characters soon became the focus of a classic comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
