Bob and Doug McKenzie in Lost at Sea – Dave Thomas Junior

In the video Lost at Sea – Dave Thomas Junior, Bob and Doug McKenzie are a pair of made up Canadian siblings who were featured in “Great White North”, a program which was introduced on SCTV – second city television for the show’s most popular season when it moved to the Canadian Broadcasting Channel in the 1980s. Bob is acted by hilarious comedian Rick Moranis and Doug is acted by comic Dave Thomas. The sketch was developed originally as filler to both please and makes jokes about silly Canadian content guidelines, the duo became a pop culture success in both Canada and the United States. The McKenzie siblings enetually would become the focus of a hit comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
