Bob and Doug McKenzie in Making Rick Moranis Proud…er | Grounded

In the video Making Rick Moranis Proud…er | Grounded, Bob and Doug McKenzie are a pair of hilarious Canadian siblings who are responsible for “Great White North”, a segment which was introduced on SCTV – second city television for the show’s 3rd season when it was aired on CBC Television in the 80’s. Bob is created by actor Rick Moranis and Doug McKenzie is created by actor Dave Thomas. Although brought to life originally as fluff to both follow guidelines and laugh about legal Canadian content legislation, the duo transformed into a pop culture phenomenon in both Canada and the US. The two later became the focus of a bestselling comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
