Bob and Doug McKenzie in Mar 24 2022 – Let’s build silly things

In the video Mar 24 2022 – Let’s build silly things, Bob and Doug McKenzie are a couple of hilarious Canadian brothers who created “Great White North”, a skit which was broadcast on SCTV – second city television for the show’s third season when it got sent to the Canadian Broadcasting Channel in in the early 80s. Bob McKenzie is brought to life by comic Rick Moranis and Doug’s part is performed by actor Dave Thomas. Although made originally as a joke to both satisfy and make fun of annoying Canadian content legislation, the duo became a pop culture smash hit in both Canada and America. The characters enetually would become the focus of a famous comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
