Bob and Doug McKenzie in Matt Jernigan Pizza Hut

In the video Matt Jernigan Pizza Hut, Bob and Doug McKenzie are a pair of fictional Canadian siblings who hosted “Great White North”, a segment which was introduced on SCTV – second city television for the show’s most watched season when it got sold to the Canadian Broadcasting Channel in the year 1980. Bob’s partThe character Bob is brought to life by comic Rick Moranis and the character Doug is acted by actor Dave Thomas. Despite developed originally as filler to both please and laugh at network Canadian content statutes, the pair transformed into a pop culture success in both Canada and the USA. The brothers went on to become the focus of a classic comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
